Early bird special! 

All ANNUAL bus passes purchased prior to the start of school will receive an Early Bird Discount!  Please check the bus pass application for details.

Only during the week of August 12th to August 16th, fees are payable at our district office (M-F from 9am-3pm by credit card, check, or cash) or on-line at PaySchools (by credit/debit card).  During this week, you can take advantage of our Early Bird discount and save up to $20!

 

Transportation Fees are collected between the hours of 9:00A.M. and 3:00 P.M on Monday through Friday in the District Office.

  

Fees can be paid by Cash, Check or Credit/Debit Card on site and/or by Credit/Debit Card on-line at PaySchools  ($.50 fee per/transaction will be charged)

 

All fees must be accompanied with a Bus Fee Application Form and Bus Stop Assignment Form

Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year!

To the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Mother Lode USD Student(s),
 

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!  The transportation department looks forward to being a part of your student’s successful year.   We are excited to announce that our student rider tracking system will be ready for the 2019-20 school year!  This means that every student riding the bus will use their bus pass to check on and off the bus.  This will allow district staff to know at all times which students are on which bus.  We will continue to communicate with you as this project moves forward.  Please help your students remember to bring their bus pass and show it to the driver every time he or she enters the bus.  Bus pass replacements are $5.00 and are required to ride the bus.

To promote bus ridership as the safest and greenest way to school, we encourage students to ride to and from school aboard the bus by offering annual round-trip passes, one-way passes, or daily ride tickets.

To ride the school bus in our district, please follow the process below:

  • Complete a Bus Pass Application Form.
  • Complete a Bus Stop Assignment Form.

Parents/Guardians of all riders are required to fill out a Bus Stop Assignment form to provide written permission of the student’s bus stop and to assist the bus driver in determining the students’ delivery to the appropriate side of the street.  Parents may request a different bus stop for AM and PM, if it is serviced by our district.  For reasons of student safety, inconsistencies in student bus stops including multiple pick-up and drop-off locations are discouraged.  Inter-district transfer students are not eligible for transportation outside of our service area. 

  • Sign the School Bus Expectations (both student and parents).
  • Make your payment by one of our available options. Payments may be made at our district office each working day from 9am until 3pm (cash/check/credit/debit card) or online at Payschools (credit/debit card).
  • Bus passes will be issued at the time of purchase. 
  • Low Income Free or Reduced Price Ridership: Free or Reduced Ridership will be verified with an Eligibility Letter from Food Service Department.  To obtain this letter submit an “Application For Free or Reduced Meals”.  Once qualification for “Free” or “Reduced Price” meals is verified a letter will be sent to you. 
    • Provide a copy of this letter to District Office.  If qualification letter is not received within 45 days of application, rider will be expected to pay the full fee for ridership.
    • Reduced Price will be ½ of the full price.
  • Lost/Stolen/Damaged Passes: Please contact the District Office immediately to secure a replacement so that your student may continue to ride.  A $5.00 lost pass fee may be charged.

GREEN VALLEY SHUTTLE PASS

To ease congestion at our Indian Creek School Campus, free shuttle bus service will be available at the Green Valley Church Parking Lot at 8:35am and 3:25pm.  All documents above must still be completed and a bus pass will be issued.

OCCASSIONAL RIDE USERS

Students who need to ride the bus very occasionally may pay a daily usage. All documents above must still be completed and a bus pass will be issued.

Daily Rides can be purchased at our district office for $2.00 each. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Occasional, one-time, or other-than-home bus stop requests may not always be accommodated due to bus capacity.

Free or Reduced

  • Must be eligible under federal income regulations
  • Application with Nutrition Services must be complete
  • Eligibility for Free or Reduced transportation can be verified with the certification letter received by Nutrition Services.  
  • Eligibility letter must be brought in to the Transportation Office.

Refund Policy

Refunds must be submitted in writing.  Refunds will be made for the following three (3) reasons only:

  1. After a student leaves the district, refunds will be prorated, subtracting out the days the student was enrolled in the district and able to utilize services.
  2. After paying bus fees, a student has been determined to be eligible for free or reduced fees.
  3. No refund will be issued if bus privileges are suspended for inappropriate bus behavior or due to board action.
