Community Engagement Committee on Facility Needs

Community Engagement Committee on Facility Needs Written Consensus Report

In December, the District initiated a Community Engagement Committee on Facility Needs to include any citizen who lived or worked in the District boundaries to participate. Thirty-seven community members and district staff spent 12 hours over a two week period becoming immersed in data and information, discussing and idea sharing. During each meeting, members posed questions and staff/consultants provided timely answers. All Committee members were invited to the this Board Meeting to share their written consensus report developed on December 14, 2015. The written consensus report detailed the process, understanding and recommendations of the Committee. Nearly every Committee member in attendance shared with the Board something about the experience. All individual comments fell in to one or more of the following categories: the process was genuine, informative and positive; the Committee and process was unlike any committee they’d been involved in; questions were asked and answered; ideas were shared and included in the report where there was consensus; and with the new knowledge, the members endorse a bond measure.

2015-16 District Goals & ObjectivesTrimester 1 Update was presented at the December 9, 2015 Board Meeting. 

 

The Board approved the 2015-16 District Goals and Objectives on November 4, 2015. The 2015-16 District Goals and Objectives align the five District Priorities and the five LCAP Goals.
