Herbert Green is hosting an art contest with the goal of showcasing work from our amazingly talented students. Winning designs will be recreated and displayed as permanent pieces of art in various locations around campus. Designs should show Miner Pride and reflect our school Core Values. Entries must be submitted by May 13th.
Friday, March 18th, is our annual Herbert Green Dodgeball Tournament. Students in all grades are invited to attend after school from 2:30-4:00 pm in the gym. Sign-ups for teams will be held at lunch, March 10th-March 15th. There is a $1 admission fee for those who are not playing, and snacks will be available for purchase. Students are expected to remain in the gym where there is supervision and need to be picked up no later than 4:00 pm. In order for students to attend after-school activities, they must have 80 or more merits in the third trimester, no trimester F's, and currently maintaining a 2.0 GPA. This is one of our most popular events of the school year and we hope your student can attend!

Thursday 3/3 and Friday 3/4 are minimum days. Students will be dismissed at 12:00 pm.
Thursday, 2/24, is the last day to help the Herbert Green Hands4Hope Club raise money for the El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue. Hands4Hope will be collecting money before school tomorrow in front of the office. Or you can use the QR Code below. Please consider making a donation and helping our students reach their goal!
PTO will be selling donuts in the morning before school, this Friday, February 25th. They will be $1.00 each.
Our regularly scheduled Coffee with the Principals Zoom meeting has been rescheduled to next Tuesday. Please join us on Tuesday, 2/8 at 8:00 am to catch up on all of the exciting things happening at Herbert Green!

Betty White was huge animal advocate. Her 100th birthday would have been next week and in honor of that, Hands4Hope is hosting the #BettyWhiteChallenge at Herbert Green. They will be collecting donations of $5 (or whatever you would like to contribute). Funds will be donated to El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue. Donations can be brought to the Herbert Green front office. Thank you for your participation!
